The return of international tourists

In 2024, the French tourism sector experienced great success for two major reasons:

• Return of International Customers : Air arrivals in July and August increased for countries such as China (+43%), Japan (+13%) and the United States (+13%), confirming the return of international tourists.
• Major Events : The organization of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games (JOP24) has amplified this return of international tourists as well as that of domestic tourism. In addition, international tourism revenues are stabilizing and normalizing, reaching 32.5 billion euros in the first half of the year, suggesting results equivalent to, or even slightly higher than, those of 2023.

In summary, the outlook for tourism in France is generally positive at this stage of the year 2024. 😊
