Focus on French tourism trends

As we have just mentioned, the post-JOP24 impact should be felt from 2025 with an influx of international arrivals that should continue to grow, to exceed 100M again. This growth should be supported by major events including the recent reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris, or the holding of the Paris Air Show.
Beyond the quantitative trends which are difficult to assess precisely, two major trends and criteria for choosing, let's say "qualitative", already at work today should be confirmed in 2025.
Affordability
In view of the uncertain economic context, the first major trend should remain the financial accessibility of Tourism. The cost of holidays will remain a decisive factor for French tourists in 2025. With the rising cost of living, many holidaymakers will look for affordable alternatives, such as outdoor hotels which offer an appreciated quality-price ratio, in particular thanks to the rise in the range of campsites in France.
Sustainable tourism
The second trend is the increasing consideration of sustainability criteria by tourists. A growing number of travelers, aware of the environmental impact of their travel, favor eco-responsible stays and pay attention to the different labels of accommodation establishments, such as the green key label. The concept of "slow tourism" which refers to alternative tourism aimed at minimizing the impact of travel on the environment is progressing. Tourism players must adapt to a new way of designing travel on the part of customers, also taking into account ecology, the local economy or even a social aspect.
